Since 2004 Global Youth Development has worked with Missouri State Legislators to improve education in Kansas City, Missouri School District, GYDI will continue being involved in the improvement of education in Kansas City, Missouri, but will be working in a larger way, working with middle/high school students, ages 13 through 18, students in the Kansas City, Kansas School District and Kansas City, Missouri School District, introducing computer science curricula as an elective and/or after school curricula.

Reason:

Deans of Academic at Longview Campus part of (MCCKC) Metropolitan Community College at Kansas City, Missouri and (JCCC) Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, Kansas, these deans expressed to GYDI, and her advisory board, "Once students reach programming they drop either out of college or change their career choice", GYDI wants to over come these obstacles and difficulties high school graduate, not being prepared.

How:

Global Youth Development, Inc (GYDI) has teamed up with Altered Planes Entertainment, (APE) to take on these difficulties and help improve education starting at the middle school level.

Altered Planes Entertainment will incorporate programming and other computer science curricula to disenfranchised and gifted students appointed by their principals and/or teachers,  these programs will be part of Altered Planes Entertainment’s internship/apprenticeship entrepreneur programs, APE will have instruction on line through its own servers 24/7/365 a APE professional will be interactive with students. students will be given assignments, the professional will from time to time monitor each student, if the students is have difficulties these difficulties will be noticed and the instructor/professional will go on line and talk to the student and make suggestions, suggestions only, the student must salve their own assignments.
