In The Works: The fight with Labor Ready continues, Kansas City, Missouri Councilman Charles Eddy is working with business such as Labor Ready, Title Holding Companies, Payday Lone Companies in a non conforming usage of their property. The Kansas City, Missouri Charter, as the President of WNU and some of its members understands, such business are not allowed to be backed up into neighborhoods, this change in the charter will allow such business to intrude on the quality of life of neighborhoods. Even though Labor Ready was defeated in court by the legal department of
KCMO, and Labor Ready is now under appeal in Missouri circuit court, this change by Councilman Eddy will actually reverses all the hard work the neighborhoods and the city as put into stopping these companies. THANKS COUNCILMAN EDDY The Director of City Planning and Development Department is working with Westport Neighbors United and Old Hyde Park Historical District to down zone our neighborhood boundaries, this would include a beautification projects such as new sidewalks, flowers planted throughout the neighborhoods and down KCMO’s famous Westport Road that blazed the trails in the 1800’s for the west, older than Kansas City, Missouri. Labor Ready has lost twice in Missouri Circuit Court, but continues fighting the surrounding neighborhoods it is helping to destroy, sell of drugs, guns, prostitutes.
